~ Janice Ockershausen[/pullquote]I got my dog around the same time I began thinking about starting my own business. I wanted a name that was unique and conveyed the essence of what my business was all about. My friend Marilyn and I pondered this during our morning walks. She is also a dog lover and a former public relations hack, so she knew what I was aiming for.
My beloved doberman had passed away a few months earlier, and I had already put a deposit on another dog, a Vizsla, but that dog wouldn’t be born for several months. I couldn’t bear to be without a dog in my home for that long, so I suggested to my husband Andy that we foster a dog. My boss at the time and a dear friend suggested Pet Connect. I googled it and there I found Buster.
Buster was a rescue dog who had a shy disposition when he first came to our family. He was a submissive dog who piddled and rolled over to expose his belly whenever anyone approached him. For the first couple weeks he never made a sound, but when he found his voice, there was no turning back. Buster has the loudest bark on the planet, and uses it to make his wishes known as he stands at the door or sits in front of his “cookie jar.” His voice fills a room, and his passion and tenacity make him an incredibly effective communicator!
I decided to use Buster as my mascot, and created my logo and company attitude after him. When Buster barks, everybody listens, and that’s exactly what we strive to do for our clients. We want to help you find your voice, and get your message heard loud and clear by the people who count.
